Our Twin Parish in GHANA

“If I walk in front of you, then I don’t know, if I will take you the right way.

If you walk in front of me, then I don’t know, if  you will take me the right way.

If I walk beside you, then together we will find the right way”

Words of Wisdom from Ghana

Most Reverend Alfred Agyenta wrote in his report, 80% of the people of Northern Ghana live from the land, dependant on the rainy season and often under the poverty line. The people responsible in the Parishes of the region try to combat this situation with financial plans and education initiatives. In 2013 the Bishop introduced a Pastoral Plan which resulted in many personnel changes in the individual parishes.

OUR PROJECTS

With the proceeds from various activities of the Anna-Katharina Parish, we are able to support the following projects helping children in the region:

QUEEN OF PEACE PRIMARY SCHOOL, NAVRONGO

  • The school has been built and was opened with 6 classes, around 25 children per class. One class is for Kindergarten children.

  • The school yard and playground have been prepared (summer 2015); it’s important to pave the area so it’s still usable in the rainy season.
